During our stay, we found the location to be central, making it easy to explore the charming village. The breakfast was a highlight – it was well-cooked and set us up for the day. The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to assist, which made our experience all the more enjoyable. the room was smaller than we anticipated, leaving us a bit cramped at times.

Had an amazing stay with friends. Enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings with easy access to bus services every 20 minutes to Reading. The cozy lounge and clean, comfortable rooms were perfect for our group. The complimentary WiFi and flat screen television kept us entertained, and the breakfast was a highlight too. Highly recommend for a fun getaway!
We did encounter a minor issue. the lounge area could be more comfortable for relaxing as a group.

The location couldn’t be better. it’s right by the River Windrush and surrounded by charming local shops and eateries. My room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with quality bedding. The breakfast really stood out. it was well presented with delicious options. The staff was friendly, which made me feel welcome during my stay. the noise level from outside was quite high, especially during the night, making it hard to sleep. I had opted for an ‘awesome’ room, expecting a great view. Instead, I was welcomed with a view of rooftops and parking, which didn’t match the description. When I asked for help with this issue, I felt the staff could have been more understanding and responsive. The service could be hit or miss at times, especially during breakfast, where promptness was lacking. Despite these hiccups, the cozy atmosphere and the lovely garden area were delightful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the local soap in the bathroom, but overall, some rooms could definitely use better soundproofing. Would love to return if those issues were fixed.

Oh, the breakfast muffins were a real treat! Plus, the bar area’s vibe was absolute gold—perfect for a cozy nightcap. The staff were truly friendly and the location was top-notch, right by the River Windrush for a lovely stroll.
Now, don’t get me wrong—the room could use a bit more space, maybe throw in a sofa or an armchair for lounging. The shower situation is a tad cramped, but you know what? It still ticked most boxes for a laid-back stay!

Friendly vibes and comfy rooms
Had such a chill time! Our room was super cozy, and the staff were a blast to talk to, especially the guy at the bar. Breakfast was really good! Just wish dinner prices weren't so steep. a nice stay but didn't feel like splurging on food.
